Just watching a very damn good documentary about laser at Discovery Channel. I am so impressed about this industry and for your information, I never thought that laser can be “so wanted” in many industries. Maybe you have seen it in TV before but for me, there’s many thing that I still don’t know about laser. If you think you want to know about laser, then you just came at the right blog, right entry at the right time because today I’m gonna write down some of the info that I know about laser.
Actually, laser is an acronym that stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. It can travel at the highest speed possible because it can produce a coherent and concentrated light beam through stimulation of molecular or electronic transitions to lower levels of energy that cause photons to be emitted. The capability of laser actually has turned it to another high level of “function”.
Frankly, laser has a power to CUT.
It is widely used in the metal fabrication industry to increase cutting speed and cutting capacity. I myself still don’t believe it untill I saw it personally (in the TV of course). To cut it, we mush have a machine called laser cutting machine. There are varied types of small laser cutting machines depending on the type of laser cutting job that you want. The most commonly used lasers for cutting are CO2 lasers and either you believe it or not, you can cut carbon steel with a CO2 laser!!!
