This is another superb worldwide tool for us. If you are new to this tool and are not sure what it is about, then we are in the same boat. To tell you the truth, I have never heard of this great weather tool before but after I read about it at a forum, I realise how cool this tool really is. This is a nice tool for heating or cooling degree-day summaries for locations around the world. The data is valid because if we want to find the weather data for a particular area or state, we can key in the CODE of the area and this is internationally VERIFIED. All data comes from Weather Underground stations.

What is the Weather Underground station?
Basically, Weather Underground is a weather-data service with thousands upon thousands of weather stations worldwide. So if you want to find the heating degree days and cooling degree days listed by major city in the US, this is the best source for you. Not only globally, it also may be easier for you to find a location near you too (for an average year).

How to use it?
Simple.
I have tried it by myself and surprisingly, it’s very easy to use it (specially for a newbie like me). All I need to do is key in the CODE or Weather Station ID and then, click the Generate Degree Days button. After that, just wait while the system to generate it and lastly, click at the Download button. The best part of this system is the result will be opened in Microsoft Excel. Means that you don’t even need to wait for even a minute to get the result.
