This is the mobile that Microsoft hopes could topple Apple’s iPhone. The HTC Diamond, which runs on Microsoft software, will go on sale in Britain next month. It has a large touchscreen, 4gb of memory and a new high-speed internet connection that gives broadband-like speeds. It can store thousands of albums and easily access sites such as YouTube to play back videos.

Its manufacturer, Taiwanese company HTC, says it is confident the device can take on the hugely popular iPhone, which is expected to be updated next month. Apple came under fire for charging £269 for its handset. The HTC phone is expected to be far cheaper and may even be offered free with some tariffs.

Would it make sense for an SEO who wants to create their own sites/work at a company (where someone else should be able to help out the SEO with the coding) make sense to learn coding in php&mySQL if he only wants to create a few small tools?

For example I want to create 2 small tools for a site I’m creating right now. Now it has me wondering: Should I spend my time learning php & mySQL, if the tool probably would only take a few hours to be created by somebody else? Actually, I’m the type of person who prefers learning and doing everything on their own, its not an issue of laziness, but I’m in college creating my own sites and already have another big interest in web analytics, so I’m trying to use my time wisely.

Does anybody know if there are sites where you can run a contest for something like that, or post jobs like that to college students? I’ve heard theres something like that for web design in general, maybe options like this exist for php, too?

How do you go about it?

Wooooooo…. I quote this from NewKidOnTheBlock at SearchEngineLand forum. In you want to know more further about the answer, click here to read it.

As we know, all of us want to gain more profit for our business right?
But do we have all the things to realize it?
What I’m trying to say is have we ever try to boost our sales thru website?

If the answer is yes, then you must make your first step.
Means that if you have a small company to expand on, don’t wait for a miracle to happen. Create your own buzz (online marketing). If not, it’s pretty hard to see your business in the top level of the business strategy. Actually, it’s a bad idea if you want to create your own web design but you don’t know how to do it.To realise it, planning is a good way or if you can’t planning well, you have to look for an expert so that your new Website Design will look great.
Google just explored a new way to boost kids brain. In an effort to introduce secondary school and high school students to open source software development, Google has announced the Google Highly Open Participation Contest at the Open Source Developer’s Conference in Brisbane, Australia.

Yup, students can compete for prizes such as cash and t-shirts; ten grand prize winners will receive a chance to visit the Googleplex in Mountain View, Ca. The contest features tasks that fall into the categories of code, documentation, research, outreach, quality assurance, training, translation, and user interface.

Google is working with ten open source organizations for the pilot effort to come up with a list of tasks to be completed by the students. The organizations include: Apache Software Foundation, Drupal, GNOME, Joomla!, MoinMoin, Mono, Moodle, Plone, Python Software Foundation, and SilverStripe CMS.
